SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical and pharmaceutical industry and concerns method for identifying medicinal plant substances – rosehips and vitamin No. 1 by analyzing the spectral characteristics of alcohol extraction. Method of identification of rose hips and vitamin No. 1 includes the production of alcohol extraction using 95 % ethanol, an aliquot of which is 5–8 ml is placed in 25 ml volumetric flask, add 5–8 ml of acetic acid 30 %, 8 ml of alcoholic 2 % solution of aluminum chloride, is adjusted with 95 % ethanol to a label (pH of solution 1.6±0.4) and spectrum is taken up against a background of a comparison solution consisting of 5–8 ml of alcohol extraction and 8 ml of acetic acid 30 %, brought to the mark with 95 % ethanol; at the same time three absorption maxima are simultaneously observed on the absorption spectrum, corresponding to: phenylcarboxylic acids at 311 nm for vitamin 1 and 323 nm for hips; flavonoids at 411 nm for vitamin 1 and 404 nm for hips; anthocyanins at 540 nm for vitamin 1 and 526 nm for hips.

EFFECT: method for identifying rose hips and vitamin 1 was suggested.
