FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices of vehicles designed to protect passengers and protect them from injury in the event of an accident. Upper airbag contains an air bag with a compressed air cylinder connected to it through an electromechanical check valve. Air bag is combined with the roof of the vehicle, equipped with a gyro sensor, the output of which is connected to the measuring input of the control unit, and the power output of the latter is connected to the electromechanical check valve. Control unit is based on a microprocessor system including a microcontroller comprising a RISC microprocessor with general purpose registers and an embedded SRAM data memory connected to the FLAH program memory, connected by a common bus with a universal bi-directional I/O port and an analog-to-digital converter. Universal bi-directional I/O port of the microcontroller is connected to the power output of the control unit, and the analog-to-digital converter is connected to its measuring input.
EFFECT: provides an increase in the passive safety of the vehicle when it rolls over and reduces the likelihood of head injuries to passengers.
