FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to major workover and production maintenance of development wells and can be used in wells development to maintain a thermal regime in them to prevent the formation and elimination of hydrate, hydrate-paraffin and ice plugs in them. Method includes launching into the well up to the upper boundary of the plug of a local electric heater on a wireline multicore cable, the metal shell of which is connected to the body of the electric heater. One of the cores of the cable is connected to the phase of a three-phase current source, and a metal covering is connected to its zero contact. Further, the electric heater is lowered until it reaches the plug, then it is turned on and the plug material is melted, while the lower part of its electrode contacts with a borehole electrically conductive fluid. After melting the plugs, a logging multicore cable is fixed, each of its wires is connected to the corresponding phase of a three-phase current source. It’s turned on, transferring the cable along its entire length into the mode of the heating device, and a full warm-up of the annular and tubular space of the well is performed.

EFFECT: expanding functional capabilities, it is possible to automatically control the temperature of the electric heater due to the use of current regulators and temperature sensors.
