FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to the field of position measuring devices, in particular to a method for precision calibration of position measurement systems. Method of precision calibration of the spatial position measuring systems includes the following steps: calibration of zero deviation, scale factor and non-orthogonal angle between the axes of the accelerometer in the spatial position measurement system according to the model (S1) of the ellipsoid approximation; compensation of the initial data of the accelerometer using the calculated parameter (S2) of the ellipsoid; calibration of the electronic compass using the model of ellipsoid approximation based on the compensated data (S3) of the accelerometer; compensation of the initial data of the electronic compass using the calculated parameter (S4) of the ellipsoid; calculation of the spatial position based on the compensated data of the accelerometer and compensated data of the electronic compass (S5).

EFFECT: ensuring a reliable calibration result and high accuracy with less time spent on calibration.
