SUBSTANCE: inhalable composition comprising: nicotine or a pharmaceutically acceptable derivative thereof or a salt thereof; propellant gas; monohydric alcohol; and glycol and / or glycol ether, wherein the ratio of monohydric alcohol: glycol or glycol ether by weight is in the range of 3:1 to 1:1.
EFFECT: composition administered by oral inhalation is capable of mimicking the pharmacokinetic profile of a conventional cigarette, and is therefore particularly effective for use in nicotine replacement therapy.
