SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, specifically to dermatology, and can be used to treat skin lesions, which is characterised by the presence of hyperproliferative keratinocytes, in an individual by contacting said skin region with a therapeutically effective amount of activated protein C (APS) or administering APS in the form of a composition adapted for subcutaneous administration. In addition, a composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of APS is used to treat psoriasis, acne and atopic dermatitis. Also provided is a composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of APS for use in reducing the severity of skin lesions, characterised by the presence of hyperproliferative keratinocytes in a subject.
EFFECT: group of inventions provides inhibition of inflammation associated with psoriatic keratinocytes, and also reduces excessive proliferation.
