Ink cartridge capable of being attached to and removed from a cartridge attachment part provided with an ink receiving tube, an electrical connection part, and a locking lever, includes the tube insertion part 8 into which an ink receiving tube is inserted and which is provided at a lower portion on the front surface of the housing, an electrical contact that is provided above the tube insertion part and can be electrically connected to the electrical connection portion, and an engaging part that is provided at a position closer to the electrical contact than to the tube insertion part, and can engage with the locking lever.
EFFECT: provided ink cartridge and an inkjet printer.
