FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine. Compression and distraction apparatus contains rings and rods. Each rod has threaded ends for fastening in rings, and in the middle part it is made detachable with telescopic connection with the possibility of increasing and decreasing the length of the rod. On each of joined smooth ends of the rods of the telescopic joint, an annular coupling is fixed rigidly and symmetrically. Couplings are connected by pairs of elastic arc-shaped elements, the latter being located above the telescopic joint.
EFFECT: invention allows to create controlled, constant, elastic and dosed compression or distraction in treatment of fractures and false joints of long tubular bones by the method of transosseous osteosynthesis.
