FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves applying stage-by stage treatment. A wire is introduced into each fractured bone fragment metaphysis in frontal plane at the first stage. Distraction-reposition apparatus is set on injured segment. The wires are fixed in fastening rings of the apparatus so that the rings are movable with the fixed wires. Fractured bone fragment overdistension conditions are created and coarse axial and rotation displacements are eliminated. External fixation apparatus is mounted inside of the distraction-reposition apparatus at the second stage. Extreme position apparatus support members are attached to the distraction-reposition apparatus wires. Threaded rod is introduced into each fractured bone fragment in perpendicular to its axis in the plane of maximum fractured bone fragment end displacement from shin axis. The threaded rods are attached to apparatus support members remaining axially movable about their axes and rotatable about fastening axis. Final fractured bone fragment reposition is carried out and compression is created at fracture level. Additional rods are introduced in another plane different from primary rods plane in inveterate cases accompanied by rigidity at fracture level.

EFFECT: high level of fractured bone fragments stability; high reposition accuracy; restored anatomical axis of the shin; reduced risk of traumatic soft tissue complications.
