SUBSTANCE: refrigerating and/or freezing apparatus has at least one cooled interior space and at least one wall, at least in certain regions surrounding the cooled interior space. Wall includes, on one side, an inner reservoir and, on the other, external walls of the device and is formed partially or completely by at least one vacuum insulating element that includes at least one diffusion-tight casing which adjoins the inner reservoir. Casing is in the form of a pre-made cover or part of a cover, whose shape is fully adapted to the shape of the inner reservoir.
EFFECT: use of this group of inventions prolongs the service life of the vacuum insulating element.
