FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the measurement of fluid streams in an incinerator. In particular, the present invention relates to the measurement of fluid flows, such as air, in the presence of turbulence. Incinerator for measuring the flow in the incinerator comprises side channel (28), supply channel (11) with inlet (27) and outlet, inlet (27) being adapted to flow into supply channel (11), outlet being adapted to discharge fluid from supply channel (11) into burner (1) of the incinerator, side channel (28) comprising mass flow sensor (13), and flow resistance element (14), wherein mass flow sensor (13) projects into the channel (28) and is configured to determine a signal corresponding to fluid mass flow (15) through side channel (28), flow resistance member (14) dividing the side channel into a first portion facing mass flow sensor (13), and a second portion facing away from mass flow sensor (13), and has a through fluid passage area having such a value that certain fluid flow profile (15) may occur in the first portion of side channel (28).
EFFECT: improved flow measurement in combustion plants, in particular in the presence of turbulence.
