FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a cathode for producing copper by electrolysis from an electrolytic solution, a hollow rod of said cathode and a method for manufacturing said cathode. Cathode includes a hollow conductive rod and a plate attached to the current guide bar, wherein at least the upper part of the conductive rod is located below the upper surface of the plate, the conductive bar comprising a conductive element attached thereto to increase the conductivity of the conductive rod. Hollow conductor bar of said cathode comprises a first portion and a second portion disposed substantially coaxially, a third inclined portion and a fourth inclined portion disposed between the first and second portions, wherein the axes of the third inclined portion and the fourth inclined portion are disposed at an angle to the axes of the first and second portions, and the conductive element is attached to the inner surface of the conductive rod. Method for manufacturing said cathode is also disclosed.
EFFECT: reduced costs and the possibility of reducing the impact of corrosion on the welds and the conductive element of the hollow rod of the cathode.
