SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to compositions of iron-based alloys that can be used in machine building. Iron-based alloy contains, wt. %: manganese 0.5–1.0; chromium 20.0–24.0; aluminium 3.5–4.5; molybdenum 0.3–0.4; yttrium 0.1–0.3; lanthanum 2.5–3.0; cobalt 7.0–10.0; rest is iron.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high impact strength.
