FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food products and methods of manufacturing them. Method for making a glazed food composition comprising: a) the creation of a flow of unglazed food products; b) passing the flow through the coating device to effect the first glazing of at least a portion of the surface of each food product and obtaining a flow of glazed products; and c) continuously re-passing a portion of the glazed product stream through the coating device together with the flow of non-glazed food products to effect at least one additional glazing of a portion of the glazed product stream, the portion of the glazed product stream that is re-glazed is from about 20 % to about 65 % of the glazed product stream. Compositions obtained by this method, a system for making a glazed food composition, and an enrobing device for carrying out said method are also provided.

EFFECT: invention provides continuous glazing and allows the production of products that have an attractive appearance and consistency.
