FIELD: cryogenics.
SUBSTANCE: system for pressure relief and energy removal from natural gas pipelines or for use in the cryogenic industry contains an electrolytic cell generating hydrogen, a heat pump, a heating device configured to heat natural gas in the pipeline. Device is configured to remove energy from natural gas expansion. Removed energy is used to power the cell and the heat pump, the heating device receiving energy from the heat pump and the electrolytic cell.
EFFECT: use of the potential energy of gas pipelines to generate energy and generate hydrogen with the possibility of using the energy received for heating the gas.
