SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, in particular to the compositions of iron-based alloys, used in the production of pump-compressor equipment, in construction, road and railway engineering. Iron-based alloy contains, by wt. %: manganese 0.5–0.75; chromium 0.15–0.25; vanadium 0.75–1.25; nickel 1.5–2.0; aluminium 0.1–0.2; calcium 0.003–0.005; molybdenum 0.15–0.25; cobalt 0.35–0.45; tantalum 2.2–2.4; boron 0.05–0.1; silver 2.2–2.4; copper 2.5–2.75; rest is iron.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high strength.
