SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to the compositions of iron-based alloys, which can be used in machine building, machine-tool building. Iron-based alloy contains, wt%: carbon 6.0–6.5; silicon 0.2–0.4; manganese 0.6–0.8; vanadium 0.4–0.6; copper 1.8–2.0; nickel 0.3–0.5; chromium 0.1–0.2; phosphorus 0.2–0.3; boron 0.02–0.03; aluminium 0.07–0.11; molybdenum 0.2–0.3; cobalt 0.7–1.1; rest is iron.
EFFECT: high antiwelding properties of the alloy.
