SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ferrous metallurgy and relates to compositions of iron-based alloys that can be used for making hot and cold stamping dies, molds. Iron-based alloy contains, wt. %: manganese 9.0–10.5; aluminium 0.14–0.2; chromium 5.5–7.5; vanadium 1.6–2.0; nickel 2.0–2.6; magnesium 0.01–0.015; molybdenum 0.5–1.0; lanthanum 0.12–0.16; calcium 0.001–0.008; copper 1.2–1.6; tellurium 0.001–0.002; boron 0.06–0.1; rest is iron.
EFFECT: alloy is characterized by high thermal stability.
