FIELD: smoking accessories.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the lyocell material for cigarette filter and its production process. Method of the lyocell material for cigarette filter production includes (S1) spinning of the lyocell spinning solution containing 8–13 wt.% of cellulose pulp and 87–92 wt.% of the N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide aqueous solution (N-methylmorpholine-N-oxide, NMMO); (S2) the lyocell spinning solution coagulation, spun in (S1), thereby producing the lyocell multi-thread cord; (S3) produced in (S2) the lyocell multi-thread cord washing with water; (S4) washed with water (S3) the lyocell multi-thread cord oiling; and (S5) the steam and pressure exposure on the produced in (S4) lyocell multi-thread cord, thereby producing the twisted fiber harness having 30–40 twists per inch, where (S5) is performed using the spinning chamber by the pressing on method, and where the spinning chamber is controlled so, that the upper plate pressure was 0.1–3 kgf/cm².

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is the lyocell material for cigarette filter and its production method development, in which the lyocell material has high biodegradability and large number of twists and, thus, can satisfy the properties required for the cigarette filter material.
