SUBSTANCE: present invention provides a method for efficiently making filaments from continuous fibers of lyocell cellulose and a fiber or multifilament yarn obtained by this method. A method of manufacturing yarns from cellulose fiber of the lyocell type using a lyocell spinning solution of cellulose in an aqueous solution of tertiary amine oxide includes the following stages: making a spinning solution containing from 10 to 20 wt% cellulose, where cellulose is a mixture of 5 to 30 wt% cellulose having a SCAN-measured viscosity in the range of 450 to 700 ml/g, and 70 to 95 wt% cellulose having a SCAN-measured viscosity in the range of 300 to 450 ml/g, the two fractions being the difference in the SCAN-measured viscosity at least 40 ml/g, dope extrusion through extrusion nozzles to obtain fibers, initial coagulation of the fibers by means of a spinning bath containing a coagulation solution with a tertiary amine oxide concentration of 20% or less, washing the fibers and drying the fibers.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to obtain fibers made by means of the lyocell process, with significantly higher tensile strength than fiber yarns made by means of a viscose process.
