FIELD: control; regulation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the transport network control device (apparatus) and method. Method includes: (a) creating specified excitations in control points, which are located in the transport network different branches; (b) accepting measurement results of one or more flow parameters (flows) changes along the path or paths combining (joining) more than one of the different branches flows; (c) analyzing the flow parameter(s) measurements results in order to identify induced by the created excitations changes; (d) defining a setting, which must be performed in one or more control points in order to improve the transport network functioning; (e) performance of the transport network one or more control points specified setting or performance of the alternative setting, the decision on the implementation of which is made by the transport network operator; and (f) repeating steps (a) to (e) one or more times in order to thereby provide the iterative improvement in the transport network operation.

EFFECT: technical result is the transport network functioning improvement in order to optimize the oil and gas wells production.
