FIELD: manufacturing technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a hinged connection that comprises a tubular female element that is rotatably connected to a tubular male member. Female member includes a female annular portion comprising an axially extending inner annular recess enclosing an inner end portion, which is formed in the axially inner end of the recess, and a plurality of internal annular grooves which are coaxially formed therein. Tubular male element includes a male annular portion comprising an annular outer surface that is configured to receive in the recess a male nose portion that is formed at the end of the male circumferential portion, and a plurality of outer circumferential grooves that are coaxial with the outer surface thereof. Male annular portion is disposed in the female circumferential portion such that the male nose portion is adjacent to the female inner end portion and each outer groove is aligned with a corresponding inner groove to thereby form a plurality of annular raceways within which a plurality of balls are disposed, in order to rotatably connect the male member to the female member. Swing joint includes a first primary seal that is located between the male nose portion and the female inner end, and a second main seal that is located between the male nose portion and the female inner end portion radially outward from the first primary seal. Male and female members form a flow path through the swing joint that is sealed with a first primary seal and, in case of a failure of the first primary seal, by a second primary seal.
