FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of production of ribbed pipes by cold drawing on a mandrel. Method for manufacturing finned tube (15), which has plurality of first spiral ribs (12) on the inner surface and the outer diameter is not more than 34 mm, includes the stage of preparation of a steel pipe with a tensile strength of not more than 600 MPa and a step of manufacturing the ribbed tube by cold drawing a steel pipe using mandrel (2) having plurality of helical grooves (21) and plurality of second spiral ribs (22), each of which is located between adjacent spiral grooves (21), while the mandrel parameters are governed by mathematical relationships.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to avoid jamming of the mandrel during cold drawing.
