FIELD: powder metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the manufacture of a sintered cutting article. Sintered billet of cermet or cemented carbide, containing carbon and a binder metal. Sintering process is carried out at time intervals with respect to temperature and pressure.
EFFECT: sintering process is controlled and a sintered body having a side surface or part of the surface of the side with a clogging layer of a binder metal and having another part of the surface of the side or other surfaces of the sides without a clogging layer of the binder metal.
