FIELD: inorganic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: cemented carbide body has tungsten carbide, cobalt and the third phase of the following composition, wt.-% boron 0.5-10; carbon 0.1-6.5; cobalt 5-50, and tungsten the rest. The third phase is formed by boron diffusion into formed body consisting of 87-95.5 wt.-% tungsten carbide and 4.5-13 wt.-% cobalt in the process of its caking. Mass ratio of tungsten and cobalt in the third phase and also that of boron and cobalt can be above 1.0, and that of boron and carbon 1-12. Proposed cemented carbide bodies were treated with boron. EFFECT: enhanced quality of cemented carbide body. 4 cl, 2 tbl
