FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of oil refining, namely, the processing of heavy oil residues during the initiation of thermal cracking. In the process for processing oil residues into distillates by thermal cracking with the addition of the vegetable oil according to the invention, the vegetable oil is taken in an amount of 1.0–10.0 % by weight, the process is carried out in the presence of 1.0–5.0 % by weight of the catalyst – copper (II) oxide in the form of a powder with dimensions of 0.05–0.30 mm, thermocracking is carried out at 400–460 °C. Result is increased total yield of the distillate fractions (with a boiling point up to 360 °C) to 63.5 %, and increased output of gasoline fractions (with a boiling point up to 200 °C) to 39.3 %.
EFFECT: invention can be used to obtain additional fuels of distillates (with a boiling point up to 360 °C) and increase yield of gasoline fractions (with a boiling point of up to 200 °C).
