FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the machine building, namely to the internal combustion engines pistons. Internal combustion engine piston (10) comprises the piston (10) bottom, adjacent to the piston (10) bottom cylindrical piston (10) head, and at least partially hollow the piston (10) guiding skirt (40). Skirt (40) is made on the piston (10) head on the side facing away from the piston (10) bottom, and has the skirt (40) wall two opposite segments (50). Two opposite connecting walls (60) connect the skirt (40) wall segments (50). Each connecting wall (60) is provided with opening (61) for the piston pin. Piston (10) head comprises the annular cooling channel with at least one inflow opening (28) and at least one discharge opening (30). Each of the skirt (40) wall both segments (50) expands to the piston (10) head so, that made on the piston (10) head skirt (40) wall segment (50) side sector length is greater than facing away from the piston (10) head skirt (40) wall segment (50) side sector length. On the piston head (10) two stiffeners (45) are made, passing substantially parallel to the piston pin axis or arcuate and substantially from one piston pin hole (61) to the other piston pin hole and passing into the piston (10) guiding skirt (40) cavity. Inflow opening (28) and the discharge opening (30) are provided between the stiffener (45) and the skirt (40) wall closest segment (50), respectively.

EFFECT: decrease in the piston temperature, as well as reduction of the thermal and mechanical loads in the piston bottom area.
