FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: connecting rod-piston group consists of piston with head and insertion installed in cylinder, of piston pin and of connecting rod with upper and lower head and bar. The insertion is made as a hollow box-like stiffening rib transferring reactive load from the connecting rod to a case by means of contact surfaces. The upper head and part of the bar of the connecting rod are arranged in the cavity of the box, while an orifice for the piston pin is made in side walls of the insertion box. The head is coupled with the insertion by means of a pivot and it is self-aligned along surface of the cylinder due to its travel relative to the insertion in all directions, at least in plane crossing lengthwise axis of the cylinder. Also, the case is equipped with response contact surfaces interacting with contact surfaces of the insertion; response contact surfaces are arranged on separate support elements secured on the case.
EFFECT: raised efficiency, reliability and resource; facilitation of high specific weight-dimension parametres of machines comprising disclosed unit.
