FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of transport engineering. Shock-absorbing element absorbing the shock load applied in the axial direction comprises a main body and a central sheet. Main body consists of a metal sheet and has a polygonal shape in cross-section, vertical with respect to the axial direction. Central sheet consists of a metal sheet and is located in the hollow part inside the main body along the axial direction. Polygonal shape of the main body includes a pair of long sides facing each other. Central sheet is connected to each of the long sides of the polygonal shape of the main body. Thickness of the sheet of the center sheet is greater than the thickness of the sheet of the main body.
EFFECT: improved absorption of shock energy is achieved.
