SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the machine building. Rail-flange lubricator contains a lubricant applied by means of mechanisms. In the manufacture of a rail in its head, the surface of which will contact the wheel flange, a continuous or intermittent groove is cut, usually up to 4 mm, for example, in the form of a dovetail with rounded edges, in which there is an all-season plastic or solid lubricant with a high adhesion to the rail material.
EFFECT: as a result, a long and effective simultaneous lubrication of both the side surfaces of the head and the surfaces of the flange of the wheel is carried out.
