SUBSTANCE: rail butt joint comprises pads attached to the rail web. The upper part of the inner pad is represented by a convex arcuate surface with a grooved profile, on which a removable plate with a similar profile is disposed. In the upper part of the pad, a bead is made.
EFFECT: increasing the protection of connected rail ends from collisions as wheels pass through it.
