SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of diagnostics of the physical and mechanical properties of wood aged in old structures. Method comprises the use of tools for sampling wood and the subsequent determination of its physical and mechanical properties, and express diagnostics of the resonant properties of wood is carried out through their examination, revealing the location of walls and other structural elements relative to the sides of the world and the prevailing wind rose of a particular region; to determine the locations of sampling and express diagnostics of the resonant properties of wood in a strictly radial direction, fixed rigidly on the opposite ends of each structural element to be examined, so that their straight working surfaces pass through the core of the wood being examined; the free ends of the strips should extend no less than 100 mm from the outer surface of the structural element, while on their working surfaces there are fixed two fastening elements, one of which is located at the outer surface of the wood being examined, and the other is at a certain distance from it closer to the free end of the bar, on which the connecting elements are connected, connecting the slats of the opposite ends of the structural element, forming a secant plane in the radial direction, which is the direction of submission of the working body of the bur for research in measuring the resistance of wood to the boring and determination of the characteristics of aged wood.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy and speed of diagnostics is achieved.
