SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of medicine, in particular transfusiology, and can be used to treat patients with various pathologies complicated by nosocomial infection. Method includes bacteriological testing of blood plasma samples from donors, containing natural antimicrobial peptides (NAP), to determine their effect on a specific microbial culture from the patient. Seal 5 to 7 segments on the main tube of a container filled with plasma, and further use a plasma sample from the above-mentioned segments for the repeated determination of NAP. Then, culture the nutrient media prepared in advance, isolated from the sick medical units, then spread the test donor plasma taken from the main tube segment in an amount of 0.05 ml on the surface of the sown Petri dishes, place the dishes in a thermostat for 37 degrees for 1–2 days, depending on the type of culture of the microorganism. Then, determine the lytic activity, and use the plasma, which has the greatest lytic activity, to treat the patient by plasma-transfusion.

EFFECT: use of the invention makes it possible to improve the treatment of patients with nosocomial infections due to the microbicidal activity of NAP.
