SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and an apparatus for setting a photographing parameter. Method of setting a photographing parameter comprises: obtaining conditions of the current environment and a parameter of an image capturing device; transfer, to a server, sample data request containing environment conditions and the device parameter; determining a target photographing parameter according to at least one sample image previously stored on the server and included in the sample data, after obtaining the sample data transmitted by the server in accordance with the environment conditions and the device parameter; setting the current photographing parameter of the image capturing device according to the target photographing parameter; obtaining an image captured by the image capturing device, and environment conditions when capturing an image, wherein the image contains the photographing parameter when capturing an image; and sending images and environment conditions to the server when capturing an image in order to store the image in the server as a sample image corresponding to the environment conditions and the photographing parameter when capturing the image.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency and accuracy of the setting of the photographing parameter.
