SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. Image processing device includes decoding unit for decoding a difference from the past value of the prediction parameter used in predicting a second layer image having a colour gamut different from the colour gamut of the first layer based on the first layer image; and a prediction unit which predicts the second layer image based on the first layer image using the prediction parameter calculated using the difference value which is decoded by the decoding unit; wherein the decoding section is configured to further decode a control parameter indicating whether to perform the bit shift when predicting the second layer image simultaneously with conversion of the colour gamut, when the bit depth of the second layer is greater than the bit depth of the first layer.
EFFECT: technical result is more efficient multilayer prediction.
