FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: process fluid pressure sensor unit (20) includes pressure sensor (30) configured to measure the process fluid pressure. Assembly (20) includes pressure sensor housing (30) made of an insulating material. Pressure sensor (30) includes a plurality of electrical contact pads (40) that are connected to a pressure sensing element of pressure sensor housing (30). Interconnection housing (50) is adapted to receive pressure at the end of the housing of pressure sensor (30). Plurality of electrical connectors (60) disposed in interconnection housing (50) are in electrical contact with a plurality of electrical pads (40). Wiring harness (32) is attached to interconnection housing (50) and includes a plurality of wires that are electrically connected to the plurality of electrical connectors (60), and the transmitter electronics is electrically connected to said plurality of wires of said wire harness.

EFFECT: provided reliable electrical connection to a process variable sensor located at the distal end of the probe.
