SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for inspecting a covering material, an inspection device, a method for manufacturing a covering material, and a covering material. Method comprises a step of preparing a first supporting member having a first installation surface and a second supporting member having a second installation surface, the second supporting member being arranged such that the second installation surface is adjacent to the first installation surface, a step for directly or indirectly fixing the covering material to the first installation surface and the second installation surface in a state in which the covering material extends over both of the first installation surface and the second installation surface, and a step for reciprocating the second supporting member relative to the first supporting member in a state in which the first installation surface and the second installation surface are adjacent to each other.
EFFECT: method of inspection is proposed by which a shearing displacement can be applied directly to the covering material.
