SUBSTANCE: use: for the manufacture of sensor sensors. Essence of the invention is that the modification method involves impregnating a sample of a photonic crystal and annealing in air. In this case, the sample of the photonic crystal is preliminarily placed in a centrifuge, and impregnation of its pores is carried out with 0.05–0.06 ml of 25–30 % toluene solution of nickel stearite or zinc or iron oleate at a centrifuge rotation speed of 1,900–2,200 rpm for 0.6–0.4 minutes, dry the sample in a centrifuge for 5–6 minutes, then in a thermostat at 370–375 K for 10–15 minutes and anneal in air at a temperature of 670–720 K for 10–15 minutes.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of simplifying the pore filling technology of a photonic crystal based on nanostructured alumina with metal oxides.
