FIELD: laminated products or materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of security printing and relates to a method for creating a transparent polymeric window with a lens region in the substrate of a fraud resistant paper. Method comprises the following steps: (i) providing a fraud resistant paper substrate, (ii) forming a hole in the substrate of the fraud resistant paper, (iii) laminating the transparent film onto the first side of the substrate of the fraud resistant paper so as to cover the opening at one end, and (iv) filling the opening with a transparent polymer material, wherein the transparent polymer material is a UV-curable polymeric material that is cured from the second side of the fraud resistant paper substrate opposite to the first side. In one embodiment, the transparent film comprises a lens region and is laminated on the first side of the fraud resistant paper substrate so as to form the lenses on the first side of the fraud resistant paper substrate fitted to the hole. In another embodiment, the lens region is introduced into the transparent polymeric material applied in the opening, so as to form the lenses on the second side of the fraud resistant paper substrate opposite to the first side, fitted to the opening. Also described is an apparatus for filling an opening formed in a substrate of a fraud resistant paper against forgery with a transparent polymeric material and a processing unit containing it.

EFFECT: invention provides an improvement in the creation of a transparent polymeric window with a lens region in a fraud resistant paper substrate.
