FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrolyte for a galvanic cell. Electrolyte has an anode which, in a charged state, contains lithium metal or lithium alloys or consists of same and contains one or more additives selected from the group of fluorine-free salts of cesium or rubidium. Said electrolyte contains one or more organic aprotic solvents and one or more lithium salts with weakly coordinating anions. Additive containing cesium or rubidium is contained in a concentration between 0.0001 M and 0.1 M and is selected from the group Cs(C4O8B), Cs(C6H4O8B), Rb(C4O8B) and Rb(C6H4O8B). Also disclosed are a lithium battery and use thereof Cs(C4O8B), Cs(C6H4O8B), Rb(C4O8B) and Rb(C6H4O8B) in concentrations between 0.0001 M and 0.1 M in the electrolyte.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to provide electrolyte additives that prevent formation of dendritic lithium structures upon precipitation of lithium ions in the form of lithium metal and which do not form fluorine-containing poisons.
