SUBSTANCE: present invention provides a method for providing a reverse current (RC) through a power unit blower, which includes the following steps: initiating RC through a blower in the event of failure of the blower of an electric generating installation and reducing the load of the generating set to a predetermined design load RC through a blower, corresponding to the permissible capacity of the equipment currently in operation, with the simultaneous creation of a channel for the passage of flue gases by fully opening the rotary blades of the blower fan at the time of shutdown of the blower fan in order to avoid unplanned shutdown of the generating set and to ensure its continuous operation. Present invention also proposes an apparatus for providing an RC through a pressure fan.

EFFECT: due to the development of new RC functions through a pressure fan, unfavorable effects on the operation of the coal power station after the bypass removal of the desulfurization system and overlapping of flue gases in the event of a failure of the blower, thereby ensuring the stable operation of the generating set.
