SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiosurgery. Bipolar electrosurgical instrument for ablation of the atrial myocardium for the treatment of supraventricular arrhythmias comprises an electrically insulated body with two branches. Branches are located parallel to each other with the possibility of moving the upper branch about the axis of the body. At the base of the upper dielectric branch there are N upper electrodes protected by a shield and made in the form of hemispheres with needles. In the lower branch there are recesses and through channels for the needles, coaxial to the upper electrodes, and along the surface of the lower branch on the side of the recesses there are two lower electrodes, in the electrically insulated body there is a guide along which a cable for connection to the radio-frequency generator is located.

EFFECT: technical result is reduced radio-frequency exposure time.
