METHOD OF BIPOLAR RADIO-FREQUENCY ABLATION IN LEFT AURICLE DURING OPERATIONS ON OPEN HEART Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61B17/00 A61N1/00

Abstract RU 2414176 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiology and can be used in treatment of auricle fibrillation during operations on open heart. For this purpose carried out is radio-frequency ablation in left auricle during operation on open heart in accordance with scheme "Labyrinth III". Linear ablations are performed on posterior wall of left auricle and left isthmus by means of branches of bipolar electrode. Placement of branches of bipolar electrode is performed through wall puncture inside purse-string suture. In carrying out ablation of left isthmus, electrode orientation is performed under control of finger, placed in cavity of left auricle, and under direct visual control.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to refuse from wide cuts of heart chambers, reduce operation trauma, reduce time of aorta cross-clamping, reduce risk of injuring coronary arteries due to direct visual control.
