FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to loading devices intended for loading bulk materials into the furnace in the production of nonmetallic mineral melts. Loading device comprises a hopper with a branch pipe adjacent to the furnace loading window and a plug located coaxially on the nozzle, and a drive providing a reversible movement of the plunger, the stroke length of the plunger is less than the sum of the length of the loading tube and the width of the hopper by an amount equal to 0.3–0.5 of the diameter of the loading tube, and the diameter of the plunger is 0.5–0.7 of the diameter of the loading nozzle.
EFFECT: it provides an increase in the service life of the plunger by reducing abrasive wear and reducing the dust from the furnace.
