FIELD: heating.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to furnaces intended for the nonmetallic mineral melts production. Furnace contains a bottom, a loading chamber, a roof, tuyeres in the loading chamber walls, loading devices and a flue. At that, the furnace is a shaft type furnace and contains molybdenum electrodes in water-cooled jackets installed in the furnace lower part, wherein the tuyeres are designed for the natural gas and an oxygen-air mixture supply and are installed below the melt level such that the ratio between the distance from the bottom to the tuyeres axes and the distance from the bottom to the roof is in the range of 1:4 to 1:7, and said electrodes are installed below the tuyeres axes, wherein the distance from the bottom to the electrode axes is 0.2÷0.35 of the distance from the bottom to the tuyeres axes.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the furnace productivity.
