SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a thin cigarette which has a tobacco rod comprising a tobacco filler and a cigarette paper wrapped around the periphery of the tobacco filler; a filter having a filter element and a paper filter wrapper completely wrapped around the periphery of the filter element and containing 35 mg or more of a flavour-releasing material; a tipping paper that is bonded onto the tobacco rod and the filter so as to connect the tobacco rod and the filter, the filter element comprising an acetate tow, and in the filter section there are perforations for to allow air to flow when drawing, said perforations passing through the tipping paper and the paper wrapper of the filter, wherein the diameter of the cigarette, the denier of the separate fibre of the acetate tow and the total denier of the acetate tow, and the size and number of perforations are selected from the condition of providing a flow resistance of the cigarette, which is 150 mm of a water column or less, while providing a resin content in the main smoke stream of 8 mg or more, for which the diameter of the cigarette is taken to be equal to 3.0 to 6.0 mm, the denier of a single fibre of the acetate tow being taken to be from 10 g/9,000 m to 13 g/9,000 m, total denier of the acetate tow is taken to be from 11,000 g/9,000 m to 13,000 g/9,000 m, and the size and number of perforations are such that the ratio (Vf) of the volume (Qf) of the air flowing inwardly through the perforation to the total volume (Q) of the sucked air ranges from 10 to 60 %.
