FIELD: smoking accessories.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a smoking product filter and a method for production thereof. Filter of the smoking article contains filter material in the form of a round cylinder with the first and the second end surfaces and a side surface containing a corrugated film with sections of crests and sections of recesses located alternately. Corrugated film is a film formed from melted material of film. Sections of crests and areas of recesses extend from first end surface to second end surface to form multiple airflow paths, which provide possibility of air passage from first end surface to second end surface. Filter of smoking article also contains multiple particles located in air flow paths, and filter paper wrapper that wraps filtering material so that side surface is covered with paper filter wrap.

EFFECT: invention enables to provide a film filter of a smoking article with sufficient filter hardness and sufficient resistance to filter retention while preserving filtration properties of the film filter.
