SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an annular drive mechanism of continuously variable transmission. Annular drive mechanism comprises a cylinder having an annular recess with an annular lower wall and two annular side walls, rollers, and an annular element of continuously variable transmission. Annular lower wall has axial guide holes, each of which is intended to accommodate a rod of continuously variable transmission. Rollers are rotatably mounted on the annular lower wall and on the annular side walls. Annular element of continuously variable transmission is displaceable in the annular recess. Inner annular surface of the annular element of continuously variable transmission is in contact with the rollers of the annular lower wall. Two opposite annular surfaces of the annular element of continuously variable transmission are in contact with the rollers of the annular side walls, wherein the annular element of continuously variable transmission having beveled guide holes.
EFFECT: increased transmission efficiency and reduced friction losses are achieved.
