FIELD: aviation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of aviation, in particular to the constructions of devices for protecting the air intakes of aircraft engines against ingestion and birds. Protective block of the aircraft engine contains a protective element that covers the inlet of the air intake. Protective element is a series of parallel and free-rotating rollers. Air intake protective unit is designed as a single section or divided into equal-functional two or more parts by means of a rigid rod, which serves to secure the rollers of free rotation. Frame with the rollers is installed obliquely at an angle of 45±15° relative to the horizon. Protective block can be divided into two equally functional parts of the arrow-shaped form, each plane is inclined at an angle of 45 ± 15° with respect to the horizon.
EFFECT: provides an increase in the safety of maintenance personnel, an increase in the service life of aircraft engines.
