SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to pediatrics, immunology, and can be used in the diagnosis of food allergies in children. Essence of the method: the total and specific IgE of blood serum are examined, the content of total free light kappa and lambda chains of immunoglobulins specific for the allergen (serum free light chains), and with an increase in their level above 0.100, an IgE-independent food allergy is diagnosed. Claimed method is informative, sensitive and highly specific for the diagnosis of food allergy in children, allows to effectively differentiate the IgE-independent food allergy, which is important for choosing the right treatment tactics and diet therapy in children, including the earliest age.

EFFECT: due to the application of the claimed method, the justified appointment of an elimination diet is possible even in cases of questionable and negative testing of the total and sIgE.
